We welcome contributions to the Broadsheet. At the moment we're focussing on the following areas: Film, Architecture, The Arts, Design, Digital Technology and The Web, Business and Music.
We welcome most types of articles but have a preference for comment and opinion pieces, event previews, profiles of creative businesses, Q&A's and interviews. We don't accept reviews or criticism. We prefer to publish comment or opinion pieces with strong links to current issues or events, so make sure your piece is relevant. Try to keep your article under 1000 words. We're also actively seeking interactive content, short films, music and audio-based pieces.
Members of the general public with an interest in creative practice and culture. The creative community, creative business, design and arts professionals.
Contributors to The Broadsheet comprise a cross section of creative professionals and writers. However, we welcome contributions from anyone, whatever their level of experience. All contributions are unpaid - most writers contribute on a voluntary basis as they view The Broadsheet as community site and a great way of getting exposure for their ideas.
Send us a short synopsis of the article by email. Explain why it’s relevant to us and our audience. Include a few lines about yourself and your area of knowledge. If we think it’s got potential we’ll be in touch to discuss the next move. If you'd like to submit short films or audio-based pieces, send us the web address of the piece. If this isn't practical you can send us a copy of the work on CD/DVD. We're unable to return submissions - sorry. We will try to review and respond to all proposals within 4 weeks.
Please send submission via email to editorial@thebroadsheet.org. Alternatively you can send items by post to:
